Former three-time Super Bowl champion Mark Schlereth made his stance clear on Lamar Jackson's Baltimore Ravens ahead of their NFC divisional round game on Sunday. This weekend, at M&T Bank Stadium, the Ravens will play Josh Allen's Buffalo Bills.

On Thursday, Schlereth shared his opinion about the anticipated game and reflected confidence in the Ravens. On "Breakfast Balls," the former NFL star said:

"For this particular game, I would take Lamar, and it has to do with weather conditions in the style of play. We always talk about the style of play like that makes, that's what makes fights, the style of play, and the propensity for the Buffalo Bills to want to play little people in everything they do, meaning five DBs or six DBs.
"They tried that in their Week 4 matchup, and the Baltimore Ravens ran through them, and they abused them in the running game. And I look for more of that style of football, with the wind, with the weather, the ability to run the football, and like I said, Buffalo wanting to match everything to small people."

Ravens' Lamar Jackson talks about the team's preparation ahead of the divisional game vs. the Bills

In the press conference of the divisional matchup between the Bills and Ravens, Lamar Jackson reflected on the team's preparation.

When asked about the quarterback's lack of interceptions, the 28-year-old spoke about his mindset ahead of the game. He said:

"Just overly focused on that part of the game [and] just protecting the ball. Watching film, a lot of our games came down to us – turnovers, getting back on track [and] stuff like that.
"Coach [John Harbaugh] is over-emphasizing that on us. Making sure that ball security – this and that – and that plays a part with me, not just fumbling, but keeping the ball out of the defenders' hands as well. Put the ball where only my receiver can catch the ball and make moves, so that's pretty much been an all-around emphasis for us," he added.

The Bills and Ravens played in the divisional playoff in 2020, but it was a bad day for the Ravens as they lost 17-3. However, this year, they are hoping for a different result. Lamar Jackson will be making the eighth playoff appearance of his career this Sunday. He has an overall record of 3-4 in the playoffs.
