Jerry Jones has taken quite a bit of heat for his decision in the 2000s to have his stadium oriented in a way that allows the sun to stream in during games. Unlike most venues, which are oriented North-South so the sun doesn't shine in the eyes of the players, AT&T Stadium is oriented West-East.

The problem has been constant for Mike McCarthy's Cowboys, but it also was an issue with Jason Garrett's unit (2010-2019). The former Cowboys head coach revealed on the November 14 edition of "Pro Football Talk" that he had an employee tasked with predicting the position of the sun.

Jason Garrett: [00:01:56] "There was this great guy named Bruce Mays, who was an operations guy for us, who would show you pictures every week about where the sun is. And so he'd come into my office and say, 'Hey, at 3:25, when we go out, here's where the sun's going to be.'"

"'At 3:45 or 4:00... this is where the sun is and we're playing on November 11, so this is where the sun is going to be on November 11'... The trickiest part of this thing is that everyone says 'Oh, you want to make sure your receivers aren't looking into the sun'... But then your quarterback is looking into the sun," he added.

So not only has Jerry Jones' $1.3 billion stadium (via DAZN) caused players to drop passes and battle the sun, but it has also required at least one coach to have someone dedicated to managing the glare.

Will Jerry Jones' Cowboys have a sun glare in Week 11?

With Week 10 getting marked by the sun glare controversy, attention turns toward Week 11. The Houston Texans are coming to town for the rare battle for Texas. While the playoff implications are not quite as high as other games of the week, the game will be broadcast in primetime, giving a face-value chance to see the sun glare in action.

Of course, it requires several factors to line up. The weather must be mostly clear and the game must take place during the day. Kickoff will be at 8:15 PM EST, so there will be no sun glare to affect the battle between CJ Stroud and CeeDee Lamb's teams.

As such, there will be no excuses for drops from either team. Will the Cowboys shut down Tank Dell and Joe Mixon in front of the entire country on Monday?
