After being viewed as potential Super Bowl contenders heading into the 2024 season, the Dallas Cowboys have lost two of their first three games in the season.

This comes after the team reached contract extensions with key players such as quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb. If Dallas continues to play the way they're playing for the rest of the season, changes could be made.

Dallas has lost in the wildcard round two out of their last three postseason appearances and has simply underperformed. Speaking on Fox Sports' The Facility, former NFL running back LeSean McCoy thinks Dallas could fire coach Mike McCarthy if it has a bad season.

"Who's got to go? What? What does? What does it need to take for a change in Dallas to get to where they want to go? So you're not changing Dak, you're not getting rid of CeeDee, you're not getting rid of Micah, you're not getting rid of the owner. The only thing to go is Mike McCarthy."

McCoy cleared the air and said that he doesn't think McCarthy is a bad coach, but someone needs to be held accountable for Dallas' woes, and he thinks it would be McCarthy.

"I'm not saying he's a bad coach, but who else if the Dallas Cowboys doing the same thing over and over and over again, that definition is, is called insanity. You're doing the same thing. There's a reason why Jerry Jones didn't give Mike McCarthy an extension."

After defeating the Cleveland Browns in Week 1, the Dallas Cowboys have struggled in their last two games.

Dallas suffered a 44-19 blowout to the New Orleans Saints in Week 2. Looking to get back in the win column in Week 3, the Cowboys suffered a second-straight loss as they fell to the Baltimore Ravens 28-25.

They came close but eventually fell short of a 20-plus point comeback against Baltimore.

Thursday night will give the Cowboys the perfect opportunity to get back in the win column as they face NFC East rivals, the New York Giants. Dallas enters the game as five-point road favorites.

The Giants are coming off their first win of the season as they got the better of the Cleveland Browns in Week 3. Who do you think will win Thursday night's game and improve to 2-1?
