After two decades with the Patriots, Tom Brady's life has been full of variety. In 2019, it was just another year working for Bill Belichick. Starting in 2020, he got to live in Florida for a couple of years. Then, after 2022, all routine in his life went out the window by taking a year off from football. In 2024, he has worked as a commentator and a minority Raiders owner.

2025 is shaping up to be another different year if one former Miami Marlins executive's prediction comes true. Speaking on "The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz," David Samson said Wednesday that fans are watching the last of Tom Brady on the airwaves:

“Tom Brady’s running [the Raiders] right now. The NFL knows it. Fox knows it. So enjoy Tom Brady in the booth because you’re not going to see him there next year. He will be in the Raiders' front office.

"He will not return as an analyst for FOX. You cannot be this involved in the operation of a team and be the No. 1 analyst. It’s an absolute insult to analysts what he’s doing and an insult to team presidents what he’s doing. You end up doing both of them in a mediocre way."

Samson continued:

“Tom Brady will not be with FOX next season. He will be full-time in the Raiders front office running that team. Period."

In other words, David Samson claimed that Brady will have a role similar to that of a general manager with the Raiders next season.

Whether the former quarterback returns to FOX or not in 2025, there will be a lot of pressure on the minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders. If Mark Davis takes his recommendations and they don't bear fruit, Brady's power with the organization could take a hit.

Plus, if he does end up going with David Samson's prediction to join the team full-time and his recommendations or decisions don't work, he could be in hot water.

Of course, as a former quarterback, his previous career is quite different from working as a general manager adjacent. Of course, he would be far from the first successful former player-turned general manager. John Lynch's 49ers and John Elway's Denver Broncos both have been to Super Bowls.

However, those examples also put pressure on Brady to deliver as well as anyone.

Will Brady take the leap to make his ultimate goal once again to take down Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs?
