Andy Reid's Kansas City Chiefs booked their third straight Super Bowl berth after beating the Buffalo Bills 32-29 in the AFC championship game at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday night. The Chiefs can become the first team to three-peat in Super Bowl history if they manage to beat the Philadelphia Eagles on February 9.
On Monday's episode of ESPN's "Get Up" former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky suggested that Reid should now be spoken in the same breath as former New England Patriots' legendary coach Bill Belichick.
"Everything we say about Bill Belichick, we have to say about Andy Reid," Orlovsky said. "It [Kansas City] is as well prepared, as well coached and as well executing in situational football as a team that we've ever seen."

Belichick won six Super Bowls when he coached the Patriots for 24 years before leaving the team in January 2024. All his Lombardi Trophy wins came with Tom Brady as New England's starting quarterback. Belichick also won two Super Bowls as the defensive coordinator of the New York Giants and hence, has eight rings in total.
Meanwhile, Reid has already won three Super Bowls with the Chiefs. He also won one Super Bowl while serving as an assistant coach for the Green Bay Packers.
Andy Reid could build a Chiefs dynasty greater than the Patriots
Andy Reid signed a blockbuster five-year, $100 million contract extension with the Chiefs in the 2024 offseason. He is the highest-paid coach in the NFL and will be eyeing even more honors with Kansas City, to potentially build a dynasty greater than Bill Belichick's at New England.
Since Reid has a superstar quarterback in Patrick Mahomes, he has been able to build a team around the six-time Pro Bowler. Furthermore, the Chiefs have been clever with their draft picks and trades over the past few seasons, which has maintained a much-needed balance in offense and defense.
Since Reid is tied down to the Chiefs through the 2029 season, he will certainly be hungry for silverware.
For now, Reid's focus will be on Kansas City's Super Bowl clash against the Philadelphia Eagles.
