Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles booked their spot in the Super Bowl after a dominant 55-23 victory over the Washington Commanders in the NFC championship game on Sunday. However, the Eagles were scrutinized for often using their "Tush Push" play to gain an advantage on certain plays.

After seeing the Eagles effectively use it to crush the Commanders, many fans and analysts called for the play to be banned from the NFL. Even former Green Bay Packers quarterback Kurt Benkert slammed the variation of the QB sneak, calling it an illegal maneuver.

"Ban the Tush Push. It’s an illegal formation by the O line compared to where they typically align," Benkert tweeted on Sunday.

The Eagles have used the "Tush Push" play often over the past few seasons, with Hurts being at the center of it. The QB has mastered the art of receiving the ball and immediately surging forward to gain a few yards.

Hurts finished the NFC title game with 246 yards and a touchdown on 20 passes, along with three rushing TDs. Philly's superstar running back Saquon Barkley also dropped a masterful display, rushing for 118 yards and three TDs.

The Chiefs clinched the No. 1 seed in the AFC and got a bye for the wild-card round. They then beat the Houston Texans in the divisional round and took down the Buffalo Bills 32-29 in the AFC championship game on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium.

The Eagles are the only team standing in the Chiefs' way to making history by winning three consecutive Super Bowls. Furthermore, Philadelphia will be boosted by the thought of exacting revenge on Kansas City in the rematch of the 2023 Super Bowl, which the Chiefs narrowly won 38-35.
