Former Super Bowl Champion Andrew Whitworth has come forward to help the people affected by the LA wildfire. Earlier this month, the wildfire in Southern California had affected the area, destroying thousands of buildings and houses.
Amidst the tough time, the Los Angeles Rams came forward to help. Their head coach, Sean McVay, and former Rams player Andrew Whitworth have pledged to donate around $400,000. The amount will be evenly distributed among the Pasadena Community Foundation's Eaton Canyon Fire Relief and Recovery Fund and the LAFD Foundation.
Whitworth opened up about their donation on Friday's episode of Jason Kelce's "They Call Us Late Night" show.
"One of the things I wanted to do this week, so I reached out to some old Rams teammates and coaches, and we got together to see what we could do to make an impact," Whitworth said.

Whitworth further reflected on the contribution of McVay and his family.
"Coach McVay and the McVay family are uniting to contribute $400,000 to fire relief efforts," Whitworth said. "The donation will be evenly distributed between the LAFD Foundation and the Pasadena community’s Foundation Eaton Canyon Fire Relief and Recovery Fund.
"In addition to that $400,000 contribution, the Kupp family is encouraging others to support these vital causes by pledging to match public donations up to $500,000 to each foundation to generate an additional $1 million fund."
The LA wildfire had affected the lives in the city. Notably, even Sean McVay had to leave his residence.
Former Rams' star Andrew Whitworth shares a heartfelt message amidst LA wildfire
On Monday, Andrew Whitworth delivered a powerful message for the people of LA amidst the wildfire. The fire had affected the area, and the matchup between the Los Angeles Rams and Minnesota Vikings in the wild-card round was relocated to State Farm Stadium.
Before the game, Whitworth addressed the fans and shared an impactful message. He said:
"The courage and bravery of our firefighters and our first responders proved real-life heroes live among us. But I believe in the people of Los Angeles. ...We will rebuild LA, hand-in-hand together. For as long as it takes and whatever it takes, we will build it together.”
The Rams defeated the Vikings 27-9 and will face the Philadelphia Eagles in the divisional round on Sunday.
