Josh Allen fans might be facing a stark reality check. Former Super Bowl champion Aqib Talib has fired a warning about Buffalo's championship potential, zeroing in on a defensive weakness.

During Monday's appearance on "Up and Adams", Talib didn't mince words about the Bills' championship hopes.

"I love what Josh Allen is doing. Man, he's controlling the game. He's doing his job. But that defense, though, it just don't look championship like to me" said Talib.

The critique lands in the wake of a 44-42 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, a game that exposed the Bills' defensive vulnerabilities.

Josh Allen excites amidst defensive woes

Talib's blunt assessment continued with a damning indictment of the Bills' defensive strategy.

"I'm not putting no cash on the Bills when they play a cold team. They play too conservative. We're gonna stay too high and let you get close to the red zone, and then we gonna lock now," he added.

In the Rams game, the Bills' defense surrendered 457 yards and 44 points—their worst defensive performance this season. Matthew Stafford carved through their secondary with precision, racking up 320 yards with just seven incompletions.

On the flip side, Allen became the first NFL player in history to throw three touchdowns and rush for three touchdowns in a single game. His stat line was mind-blowing: 342 passing yards, 82 rushing yards, and six total touchdowns.

Allen's MVP candidacy continues to get better. His odds improved from -225 to -500 at BetMGM, with the next closest competitor, Saquon Barkley, sitting at a distant +350.

With four weeks left in the season, the Bills face a critical stretch. Their upcoming games against the Lions, Patriots, and Jets will test whether they can overcome their defensive limitations.

Talib's critique does resonate. Allen might be the NFL MVP, but one man can't win a championship alone.
