Russell Wilson and George Pickens might not have been on the greatest terms. With the Pittsburgh Steelers midway through a three-game losing streak and with a huge slump with the playoffs approaching, it looks like the veteran quarterback and the young wide receiver might be having some problems.
Wilson played a below-average game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Christmas Day. The Steelers' loss resulted in their relinquishing the AFC North lead to the Baltimore Ravens with one week to go. The offense has not scored over 17 points in the past three games.
On Thursday, Pickens was asked about Wilson's recent comments about the interception he threw in the game against the Chiefs, stating a miscommunication with his receiver. After being told of the quarterback's comments, Pickens decided that the best thing to do with the mics in front of him was to stay quiet.

Pickens finished the game with seven targets, three receptions and 50 yards. Wilson expected Pickens to run a vertical route during the interception, but the wide receiver had another route. The play ended in an end zone takeaway, and Pittsburgh scored no points at the end of the drive.
Russell Wilson's stats in 2024: Veteran quarterback in a bounce-back season with Steelers
After two hugely disappointing years with the Denver Broncos, this has been a great bounce-back season for Russell Wilson. In his third team, he found instant success after signing a one-year deal by the minimum back in March.
After taking over from Justin Fields in Week 7, fresh off his recovery from a calf injury, he has led the team to a 6-4 record. In doing so, he amassed 2,334 passing yards, 15 touchdowns and five interceptions, while scoring two more touchdowns as a runner.
His two years with the Broncos shattered his stock in the NFL, and the Steelers took a chance as they had nothing to lose. It paid off brilliantly, and Mike Tomlin's decision to switch from Justin Fields to Russell Wilson even as the team had a positive record is proving to be correct.
