NFL fans believe Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens should be suspended for his actions against the Dallas Cowboys. At the end of the Steelers' 20-17 loss to the Cowboys on Sunday night, Pickens grabbed Jourdan Lewis' facemask and threw him to the ground.

After the clip went viral, NFL fans said the action wasn't necessary and called for Pickens to be suspended for his actions.

"He probably will be that was so unnecessary," a fan wrote.

Some fans believe the Cowboys player was taunting Pickens, which caused the reaction.

"I’m not a Cowboys fan but stuff like this is uncalled for. George Pickens deserves a 1 game suspension for this nasty display of childishness," a fan wrote.
"George Pickens needs to be suspended and fined for this. Dangerous, reckless, unnecessary," a fan added.

Whether or not the NFL will suspend Pickens is uncertain, but a fine does seem more likely.

"Pickens should be suspended or honestly tried for harassment. That punk needs to be taught a lesson," a fan added.
"Pickens should be suspended for the facemask penalty after the game was over, but they’ll prob just suspend. Unsportsmanlike penalties after the game is over should be automatic suspensions," a fan wrote.

The Steelers' loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 5 has seen them go 3-2 on the season. Pittsburgh has lost two straight games.

Why didn't George Pickens get more reps vs. Cowboys?

Pittsburgh Steelers receiver George Pickens played just 34 of a possible 58 snaps, which was a new career low, according to NFLGSIS. Fellow Steelers receivers Van Jefferson and Calvin Austin played 47 snaps and 44, respectively.

Through three quarters, Pickens played 21 snaps but only ran 12 routes. It was a surprise, and after the game, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin explained the decision and why Pickens didn't play many snaps.

"You know, we just wanted to kind of minimize his reps in an effort to get more productivity," Tomlin said. "You know, we're just trying to rep manage in terms of the totality of the big picture. He wasn't less of a focal point in terms of our intentions of what we wanted to do offensively, but we did wanna cut his reps a little bit in an effort to get higher quality play, just in general."
"It's no different than we minimized some of the snaps of d-linemen like Cam Heyward and so forth, man," Tomlin added. "It is just about snap management. It's no underlying story, to be quite honest with you."

Pickens finished the game with three receptions for 26 yards. This season, he has recorded 23 receptions for 310 yards but has yet to find the endzone.
