New York Jets fans' frustration reached a boiling point this week with quarterback Aaron Rodgers' response — or lack thereof — to wide receiver Garrett Wilson's concerns about his role in the offense. When asked about addressing Wilson's concerns, A-Rod gave this response.

“I’ve talked to him throughout the season,” the QB said only to make it clear that their last conversation on the matter was weeks ago.

Fans were more angry after Rodgers admitted to reporters that he hadn’t spoken with Wilson in recent weeks about the wideout’s visible frustrations.

More fans joined in the chorus.

"The fact that Aaron Rodgers hasn’t spoken to Garrett Wilson in weeks is alarming… all jokes aside get this toxic QB off my team. Extend Garrett Wilson and ask him personally who he WANTS as his QB in 2025, I'm taking the young talent over everything in this situation," wrote one fan.
"Aaron is toxic stop it," commented another fan after slamming another who tried to defend Rodgers.

Meanwhile, a third fan noted:

"We all saw those training camp videos of Garrett whining and getting in Aaron’s face. But ya, Aaron is the toxic one. The franchise has been a dumpster fire and that overrated defense has blown and cost them multiple games this year, but Aaron is toxic."

The tension stems from the New York Jets' dismal 4-11 season. It is a far cry from the expectations set when Aaron Rodgers joined the team as a four-time MVP.

Garrett Wilson, who is currently in his third season, has been a bright spot in the Jets’ offense. On Sunday, after losing (19-9) to the Rams, Wilson voiced his opinion on how he had been underutilized until late in the game.

"I would love to be involved, love to make an impact on the game but if people see it differently, then that's out of my control," he said to the reporters.

However, at the same time, he is ready to focus on the remaining games.

“I love the Jets. At the end of the day, they were the ones that believed in me. I can't be worrying about all that. Just going to finish these three games the right way,” he said.

In 2024, Garrett Wilson tallied 987 receiving yards and six TDs despite inconsistent targeting.
