Giants fans fired up to uncover truth behind Saquon Barkley's Eagles move in Hard Knocks: "Saquon getting exposed" "Can't wait to see"

Saquon Barkley was drafted by the New York Giants with the second overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. After six seasons with the G-Men, the running back made the decision to sign with their NFC East rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles.

Giants' fans who have been upset that Barkley signed with their archnemesis may now get more information about what happened during free agency. HBO's Hard Knocks is debuting its first-ever off-season edition of the series, starring the New York Giants.

The trailer for the upcoming series debuted on social media this week and the Giants' loyal fans are already making their opinions heard on X.

Some referred to general manager Joe Schoen appearing to talk to Barkley on the phone and attempting to negotiate. Other fans quickly noted that the running back said he never spoke to the team.

Other fans were excited to get an opportunity to see the off-season in this way. With the free agency period opening and the NFL Draft coming up, it gives fans a more in-depth look at how decisions are made about the roster.

"I am so much more interested in seeing this side of the equation than I'm seeing training camp or in-season coverage," one fan said.

While the majority of Giants fans were looking forward to seeing the Barkley situation play out, there was also Daniel Jones recovering from a season-ending knee injury. Beginning on July 2, 2024, fans will get to see the whole offseason journey for the Giants.

Saquon Barkley stated that the New York Giants never gave him an offer

To say that the New York Giants' fans were livid when running back Saquon Barkley signed with the Philadelphia Eagles would be an understatement. They sent their strong opinions in messages on social media to the running back.

In early May, Barkley shared a post on X, saying that he is not a 'traitor' nor did he 'bail' on the team because he was never offered a contract from the New York Giants.

"Let me educate some of you fans here… I can’t bail or become a traitor if I never got an offer to come back.. so I went to the organization I felt that was the best and after already being here for a month, man, I’m excited to be a eagle ! Go birds"-via Barkleys' X account.

He then said that he chose the Philadelphia Eagles because they offered him a fair contract. That sentiment is now being questioned with the Hard Knocks trailer.
