New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers is expected to help turn around the offense in 2024. The Giants selected him with the sixth overall draft pick as a weapon for quarterback Daniel Jones. The rookie wide receiver has shown aspects of being explosive throughout training camp thus far.
Giants fans are getting excited as they may have found the answer to the offensive woes the team faced in 2023. A video of Nabers catching a deep ball from Jones, which was posted on X on Thursday morning, has some split in their views of the play. Ari Meirov wrote:
"Update: Malik Nabers is still dominating."

There were fans who fully supported Nabers and believe that he was dominant on the play. And then there were fans who believe the play only occurred because the defensive back didn't succeed in coverage.
The supporters of Nabers said that he was showing something that fellow rookie wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. isn't capable of doing. Another fan said that he is going to have a standout rookie season, while another was impressed by the entire 2024 wide receiver class.
"Marv ain’t doing that," one fan said
"His going to feast this year," another said.
"The 2024 WR class is going to be the best of the decade. It'll be even better than the 2020 draft class," a fan said.
Those who doubted the defense also shared their opinion.
"Also just terrible defense!" one person on X said.
"They might have an issue at Corner as well," one fan added.
"Man these corners are terrible," another fan said.
Giants WR Malik Nabers expects to be great
The New York Giants drafted wide receiver Malik Nabers to be their No. 1 option in the passing game. While New York expects him to shine and be great, the rookie wide receiver expects the same.
During the first week of training camp practices, Malik Nabers told reporters that his mindset is always to be the best. As reported by The Post, he said that he knows the Giants drafted him for a reason and that he intends to be the player they expect.
“Yes sir," Nabers said when asked if he is going to be great.
Malik Nabers continued:
“It’s just the way my mind thinks, you know. I was brought here for a reason. I was brought here to make plays, to be a difference-maker. That’s all I know. I came up just like that. I want to be a player that makes plays soon as I get out there. That’s how I’m made.”
The New York Giants will not only need Malik Nabers to be great but also need the same from the entire offense. Although Daniel Jones was dealt a season-ending knee injury in 2023, the offense struggled before that as well.
