The New York Giants are in dire need of a new franchise quarterback after parting ways with Daniel Jones midway through the season. However, it seems their fans apparently do not want Shedeur Sanders to be that man.

On Tuesday, general manager Joe Schoen was spotted attending a Colorado Buffaloes practice session, observing Sanders and speaking with his father, Deion Sanders — a visit widely speculated to signal interest in drafting the quarterback in 2025:

Fans' reactions were far from enthusiastic.

"He should be packing his bags considering he’s almost out of a job lolololol," one said.

More reactions can be seen below:

"No way in HELL (Shedeur) plays for the Giants," one said.
"I still want Cam Ward," another hoped.
"Working hard on making his next big mistake," another quipped.

Also in the running for Sanders are the Las Vegas Raiders, who have one of the league's weakest quarterback rotations. Gardner Minshew struggled before suffering a season-ending injury, while Aidan O'Connell and Desmond Ridder are viewed as unlikely long-term solutions.

A potential mock draft scenario if Giants draft Shedeur Sanders

Shedeur Sanders is widely considered one of the biggest prizes in the upcoming NFL draft. If the Giants secure him in the first round, here’s a potential scenario for their subsequent picks to strengthen the roster around him:.

The first move after the first round has Joe Schoen — or his successor if he is fired — bolstering the offensive line in the second round. Will Campbell, who protected Jayden Daniels' blind side at LSU, played a key role in the future Washington Commander's 2023 Heisman Trophy victory.

In the third round, the Giants land highly productive running back Ashton Jeanty, surprisingly overlooked by the Dallas Cowboys despite their struggles in the ground game. This selection offers Big Blue a chance to upgrade from Devin Singletary, who has yet to prove himself a worthy successor to Saquon Barkley as the lead rusher.

Day 3 sees a focus on defense, starting with cornerback Domani Jackson, a valuable addition to a secondary in dire need of talent. The Giants then address the defensive line by selecting tackle Joshua Farmer, whom they hope will complement star Dexter Lawrence.

The scenario concludes with Penn State quarterback Drew Allar, who could compete with Tommy DeVito for a backup spot.
