Jalen Hurts has been preparing for the past two weeks to lead his Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII. This will be the first Super Bowl appearance of his career. He will have a monumental task ahead of him against Patrick Mahomes, who has now helped the Kansas City Chiefs reach the Super Bowl in three of the past four seasons.
The big day is now officially here as the two teams make their final preparations before stepping onto the field in search of the coveted Vince Lombardi trophy for the 2022 NFL season. While physical preparation is always extremely important, it's equally as crucial to be mentally prepared for the big moment. This is something Jalen Hurts is familiar with. He has expressed confidence and preached focus in all of his appearances leading up to the game.
According to NFL writer and "Faith on the Field" host Rob Maadi, the Eagles may have received an additional confidence boost on the morning of the game. He recently reported that their team pastor Ted Winsley shared a positive message during their final chapel service of the season. He titled his message "Faith to Subdue Your Dreams."
“When your personal victory becomes more real than your battles, God will anoint you to subdue your dreams, just like David .. David never lost a battle because he never saw it as his battle, but as a battle where God would show the world the HE is God. When David honored the anointing, God honored him with the victory."

The pastor encouraged the Eagles that the right mindset will help them achieve a victory against the Chiefs. Jalen Hurts will likely need all the fuel he can get as arguably the two best quarterbacks during the 2022 NFL season go head-to-head with the winner taking home the ring. Their finishing positions in the 2022 NFL MVP award voting demonstrated their success this year.
Jalen Hurts and Patrick Mahomes top the list of 2022 NFL MVP award voting
The NFL MVP for the 2022 season became official during the NFL Honors awards show last week. Patrick Mahomes took home the trophy for the second time in his career, dominating the votes. He received 48 of the possible first-place votes to win the award and was voted second-place by the other two voters.
Jalen Hurts received the second-most voting points during the process. His 26 second-place votes were the most by any player this year. He and Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen each received one first-place vote, accounting for the only two that Mahomes didn't receive.
