Rob Gronkowski retired for the second time in his NFL career after the end of last season. His close friend Tom Brady also announced his retirement after last season, but he eventually returned.
Brady did return, but Gronk did not, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are heavily missing the legendary tight end in the offense. The Bucs have been poor offensively this season, and they are missing the services of both Rob Gronkowski and Antonio Brown.
Gronk has made it clear that he has no intentions of returning to play football, but people around the league are still hopeful that he is not done playing football.

Rob Gronkowski was seen dancing in a show for FOX Sports, and here's how social media reacted to it:
Gronk is unlikely to return to playing football because the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been a mess this season. Tom Brady himself is not playing his best football, and it won't make sense for Rob Gronkowski to sign with them now.
The Buccaneers are ranked 28th in the league when it comes to points per game as they are averaging only 17.2 ppg. Injuries have been brutal for them this season.
They have failed to replace both Antonio Brown and Gronk, and the results are visible to everyone. Brady has thrown for 3,585 yards, 17 touchdowns and five interceptions in 13 games this season.
Last season, Tom Brady threw for 5,316 yards, 43 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in 17 games. The dropoff in the numbers for him is massive, and this is why the fans want Gronk back to help Brady.
How did Rob Gronkowski play for the Buccaneers?
In his time with the Buccaneers, Gronk had 100 catches for 1,425 yards and scored 13 touchdowns in 28 games. As stated earlier, he was a massive part of the Bucs' offense, and his absence has made the team worse.
Due to the absence of both Brown and Gronk, the pressure has increased on Mike Evans, and he hasn't been himself either this season. The results are in front of us as the Buccaneers are 6-7 ahead of Week 15 and could potentially even miss the playoffs.
Tom Brady is set to become a free agent next season and if he continues to play football, we might see Gronk joining him on his new team next season.
