In the cold weather at Orchard Park, the Baltimore Ravens fell agonizingly short of victory as they fell to a 27-25 defeat to the Buffalo Bills. That loss means Lamar Jackson is now 3-5 in eight playoff starts, prompting concern over whether he can drive the Ravens to a win when it's nut-cutting time.
In this particular game, most of the blame fell on tight end Mark Andrews, who was wide-open but dropped the ball at the goal line on a two-point play with 1:33 left. That said, even if Andrews hadn't dropped the ball, the Bills would have had enough time to drive for a game-winning field goal.
In any case, the Ravens' loss prompted another round of debate over whether Jackson has what it takes to put the Ravens offense on his back and lead them to glory. After the game, Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin had a few things to say about Jackson's credentials.
"Lamar Jackson did not play a clean game," Irvin wrote on social media. "It will be he just didn't get it done with a better team around him!!! He may never have this kind of talent around him again. EVER!!!"

It's important to note that the Ravens were without their top wide receiver Zay Flowers, who missed all of the playoffs with a knee injury he picked up in the regular-season finale.
Where do Lamar Jackson's Baltimore Ravens go from here?
Head coach John Harbaugh will enter the final year of his deal next season which will be his 18th year in Baltimore. The Ravens have won three AFC North titles in the last six years and made the playoffs five times but their 3-5 postseason record sticks out like a sore thumb.
Per Over the Cap's numbers, the Ravens are on track to have $23.5 million in cap space in 2025. They have over 20 players set to hit free agency with names like Marcus Williams, Tre'Davious White and Ronnie Stanley on that list.
The Ravens could also be left without offensive coordinator Todd Monken next season given the fact that he has been getting some interest in a few head coaching vacancies around the league. Monken helmed the league's best offenses in 2024 after bringing Derrick Henry to town to complement Lamar Jackson's talents.
The Ravens also have the 27th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. GM Eric DeCosta has a laundry list of positions to target in April's class including offensive linemen, defensive backs, inside linebacker, wide receiver and edge rusher.
