Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce appeared to mock Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin during Sunday night's AFC championship game at Arrowhead Stadium. Kelce was celebrating the Chiefs' third touchdown in the second quarter when Mahomes rushed for the score but then seemed to taunt Hamlin for failing to stop the TD.

When LA Chargers safety Tony Jefferson saw the incident, he accused the NFL referees of giving Kelce a free hand by not flagging the Chiefs tight end.

"Lol they be letting kelce do whatever. He don’t get flagged," Jefferson tweeted following Kelce's questionable celebration in front of Hamlin.

Below is a video of the incident, which also led to an unnecessary roughness penalty from Bills defensive tackle Jordan Phillips, who shoved Kelce in his face.

A few others also suggested that Kelce had been trash-talking Hamlin after the touchdown. It led to some tension between the players on both teams, but Kelce did not get punished for the incident.

The Chiefs eventually went on to win the AFC championship 32-29, making it to their third successive Super Bowl. However, some on social media believed that the referees favored Kansas City with some decisions in its crunch postseason matchup against Buffalo, including the incident where Kelce drew a penalty.

Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs have become the first team to reach three Super Bowls in a row. The Chiefs will now aim to make it a three-peat when they face the Philadelphia Eagles in the final on Feb. 9.

The Eagles, who finished as NFC East champions, crushed the Green Bay Packers in the wild-card round and then beat the LA Rams in the divisional round before battering the Washington Commanders 55-23 in the NFC championship game on Sunday.

If the Chiefs want to keep a hold of their Super Bowl title for the third season and create history in the process, they will need to find a way of thwarting the Eagles' ruthless offense.
