Aaron Rodgers's recent criticism of ESPN hosts has upset some at the multi-media network. Former Pittsburgh Steelers star Ryan Clark responded to Rodgers with a lengthy rant on Friday's episode of "First Take."
Clark went in on the New York Jets quarterback, who criticized the ESPN analysts on "The Pat McAfee Show" on Tuesday for their opinions on the NFL and said nobody remembered what they did during their careers.
“This dude is once again tone-deaf,” Clark said via Awful Announced. “This dude is once again unaware. This dude is once again arrogant to a point that’s almost sickening because he says these things, and he talks tough, and he behaves in his way, but he ain’t."
"He has all of this cache because he’s a good player, but they ain’t people around here that come around and talk about what type of leader you are. They ain’t people that come around here that talk about wanting to follow you because of the type of man you have been."

Clark went on to call Aaron Rodgers a "fraud" and reduced him to just a football thrower.
“This dude is a fraud. He’s been a fraud," he added. "He can throw a football, and that’s where it stops. Once that talent ends, so does him — and so does he. And to sit up there, man, and to be just blatantly hypocritical is funny and sickening at the same time."
This comes after the 41-year-old quarterback took a dig at ESPN hosts during his weekly appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show," which is broadcast on ESPN. This prompted responses from Clark and Mina Kimes before him.
Aaron Rodgers, Jets reportedly heading separate ways after this season
Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets were eliminated from playoff contention on Sunday after a painful 26-32 defeat to the Miami Dolphins that saw them drop to 3-10. They are now 14 years without making it to the playoffs, the longest active playoff drought in North American sports.
After another underwhelming season, Jets owner Woody Johnson could hit the reset button and part with Rodgers after releasing both Robert Saleh and Joe Douglas during the season. The Jets were expected to challenge the title this season, but they have been a major disappointment.
Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets will close the season against the Jacksonville Jaguars (Sunday), the LA Rams (Dec. 22), the Buffalo Bills (Dec. 29) and the Dolphins again (TBD) to try to get some more wins.
