"He makes plenty of money": NFL fans take notice as Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel's Bentley and $4,200 Bottega Veneta bag go viral

This month, Miami Dolphins fans have already seen a different Mike McDaniel than last year.

One thing that drew attention to the Dolphins coach last season, besides his brilliant offensive plays, was his appearance. With his glasses, hoodie and quirky mannerisms, he quickly became one of the NFL's favorite coaches.

A video of McDaniel surfaced online. It shows him getting out of a Bentley while carrying a Bottega Veneta bag and wearing a Gucci belt. He also holds what appears to be a Starbucks Grande cup. The bag is listed at $4,200 on the manufacturer's website.

Fans remarked on McDaniel's new look, with some shunning his new style and others saying they were okay with it. One fan said McDaniel was wealthy and could afford the Bentley and fancy accessories.

"Is that strange? He makes plenty of money lol."

Another fan sarcastically commented that the sideline leader should take the Dolphins to the Super Bowl before splurging.

"Why do we reward people for not having won anything?" one fan took offense at the fact that McDaniel was spending money despite not having won a Super Bowl or even an AFC Championship.

"Coach swag levels unmatched in this league," another fan sided with McDaniel.

Mike McDaniel chokes up while talking about Tyreek Hill

Tyreek Hill was detained before the Dolphins faced the Jacksonville Jaguars. The star wideout did manage to play in the game and helped the Dolphins earn their first victory of the season.

While addressing the media after the Jaguars game, McDaniel became emotional when discussing Hill.

“It’s been hard to not find myself more upset the more I think about it... The thing that f**ks me up being quite frank is I don’t know exactly what that feels like.”

The Dolphins face the Buffalo Bills on Thursday.
