Jalen Hurts was reeling from a heartbreaking loss at the hands of the Atlanta Falcons last week. In that game, Hurts threw one interception and in the season opener against the Green Bay Packers, he threw two.

Now in Philly's first road game, he's thrown his fourth of the season. In the second quarter, the New Orleans Saints were leading 3-0. The Saints had collectively scored a total of 91 points in the last two games and were proving to be the underdogs this season. Hurts knew he had to be extra careful in this game.

With the ball at third and 9, Jalen Hurts threw the ball towards his receiver who was comfortably in the end zone, but at the last second, safety Tyrann Mathieu cut across the receiver and snatched the ball. Mathiew carried the ball out of the end zone to the 19 yard line.

"He's actually a bum."

Another fan referenced Hurts' many turnovers this season and called him a "turnover machine".

"TURNOVER MAchine."
"Hurts Sucks," a fan posted.
"bench him" another fan posted.
"I’m losing hope," another fan was not confident in Philly's chances this season.
"He so a**" one fan commented on Hurts.

Jalen Hurts was penalized for celebration

In the team's "real" home opener against the Falcons, a penalty was called on QB Jalen Hurts which is not that common in the NFL. In the Eagles' first touchdown of the game, Hurts had scrambled 23 yards and into the endzone.

After Hurts scored a rushing touchdown, he spiked the ball in celebration. Just then, the officials threw a flag. The penalty? Five yards for delay of game.

The play was called back and Eagles fans were disappointed. Not for too long, however. With the ball at the seven-yard line, Hurts connected with DeVonta Smith for a touchdown!

Fans are hoping that their quarterback can continue the positive momentum.
