After an unsuccessful stint with the New York Jets last season, running back Dalvin Cook is back in the NFL on a different team. NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported on Wednesday morning that Cook signed a deal with the Dallas Cowboys per his agency, LAA.
There are no details on the length of the deal and how much it is for, but the veteran is expected to help out in Dallas' backfield.
Upon finding out that the Cowboys signed Cook to help their backfield, most fans on social media were clowning them for the signing. Cook, who's 29 years old, had the worst season of his career last year in his lone season with the Jets, rushing for 214 yards on 67 carries and not scoring a touchdown.

Some fans aren't sure how Dalvin Cook will help the Dallas backfield.
"Who cares. He's f***ing washed," a fan said.
"2 washed running backs is better than 1 !" one fan said.
"Cowboys got the most washed RB duo in the league," another fan wrote.
"Cowboys still have the worst RB room in football," a fan said.
While most fans weren't thrilled about the signing, some fans are still rooting for Dalvin Cook and think he could make an impact on the Cowboys this season.
"If Cook can even give 50% of what he gave the Minnesota Vikings this would be a definite big move for Dallas. Everyone needs to just forget what happened with the New York Jets people need to remember he was playing for an offensive coordinator who is football‘s version of Elmo," one fan wrote.
"Love this move. Cook has a lot to prove and I still think he’s got a lot left in the tank," a fan wrote.
"Go kill it Dalvin," one fan wrote.
Dallas Cowboys have signed Dalvin Cook and Ezekiel Elliott this off-season to help their backfield
The Dallas Cowboys lost running back Tony Pollard this offseason, who signed with the Tennessee Titans in free agency.
On April 30, the Cowboys brought back veteran running back Ezekiel Elliott, who played with the Cowboys from 2016-2022, after he spent last season with the New England Patriots.
Like Cook, Elliott had a rather less productive season last year. He rushed for 642 yards on 184 carries while scoring three touchdowns. He added 313 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
ESPN has Elliott as the team's number-one running back, and Rico Dowdle is the backup. Though he was signed to the practice squad, Dalvin Cook is currently listed as RB3, with second-year RB Deuce Vaughn as the fourth-string running back.
