Adrian Peterson had a warrant out for his arrest

Adrian Peterson had a warrant out for his arrest in Fort Bend County in Texas in mid-December. According to Fox News, Peterson failed to appear in court for two different child support cases.

"The current legal case is related to a misunderstanding regarding Adrian’s court appearances as it relates to child support, and he is actively working with his legal team to resolve this matter as quickly as possible," his publicist, Denise White, said in a statement.
"He is committed to clearing up this situation and moving forward positively."

Peterson has faced legal issues in the past. He failed to pay the $8.3 million he owed to DeAngelo Vehicle Sales LLC, which was court-ordered to pay. He also was indicted on charges of reckless or negligent injury to a child, but he pleaded no contest.

Peterson played in the NFL from 2007 until 2021.
