New York Jets wide receiver Davante Adams isn’t shy about acknowledging greatness, even if it’s across the league. Ahead of the Pittsburgh Steelers' crucial playoff clash against the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday, Adams praised George Pickens and dubbed his style as "unorthodox" yet undeniably effective.
Speaking on Kay Adams’ "Up and Adams" show, he broke down what makes Pickens stand out. According to Adams, it is Pickens' physicality and ability to intimidate defensive backs.
"George is a hell of a talent," Adams said. "He's a unique player. He's got a very unorthodox style, and, um, I've told him—I'm a fan of his game ever since college. He's a dog."
Adams also talked about Pickens’ highlight-reel catch against the Cleveland Browns during his rookie season.

"I've always been a fan of him, his physicality coming off the ball and how he just throws the DB on the ground," Adams said. "He comes off like he's doing a release, then just shoves or throws them on the ground. That's always been fun to watch."
The star WR then discussed the more polarizing aspects of Pickens’ game.
"He's been a little bit of a wild card this year," Adams said. "He's got one of the best head coaches (Mike Tomlin) in the game over there to help deal with him, similar to how he dealt with AB (Antonio Brown). So, obviously, having him is gonna help."
Pickens will have the spotlight on him on Saturday when his Steelers face the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC wild-card game at M&T Bank Stadium.
Davante Adams pairing with George Pickens might not be a far-fetched scenario
Davante Adams could be with the Pittsburgh Steelers down the road. Currently, he is facing an uncertain future in New York following a disappointing season.
He is under contract for 2025; however, his bloated salary and the Jets’ potential roster overhaul could see him searching for a new home.
For the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are known for winning and making the playoffs, roping in Adams to their roster alongside George Pickens could make sense.
The Jets star's catching and precise routes would fit well in the Steelers' offense. He could also bring the kind of experience that might help Pickens improve further.
