Chicago Bears fans are excited that the team had an interview with legendary coach Pete Carroll. The Bears have conducted several interviews as they search for a new coach.

Chicago had a disappointing season and fired coach Matt Eberflus during the season. The Bears ended the season with a record of 5-12 but did end the year with a 24-22 upset win over the Green Bay Packers.

After it was announced that Chicago had done an interview with Carroll, some Bears fans were thrilled by it.

"Pete could stabilize that building over the next 3-5 years," a fan added.

Carroll didn't coach last season after being let go by the Seattle Seahawks after the 2023 NFL season.

"My three are Ben, Vrabel, and Pete with Ben leading the pack," a fan added.
"Top 3 candidate for me. Would love if Pete were our next HC. I do not care if he's done after 3 seasons if he gets thus team to a good place," a fan wrote.

Carroll won a Super Bowl with the Seattle Seahawks which is a big reason why many Bears fans want him to be hired.

"This makes a ton of sense, Pete is incredible at building the culture of a team and knows what it takes to build an org from the ground up," a fan added.
"Pete is old but I think he could turn the franchise around. I can easily see him coaching in his 80s so a team like the Bears could have a long term HC with him," a fan wrote.

It's clear Bears fans would like to see the team hire Carroll as they believe he could help turn around the franchise.

Pete Carroll's coaching career

Pete Carroll first became a head coach in 1994 with the New York Jets but lasted just one season.

He then became the New England Patriots coach for three years before leaving to go coach college at USC for nine years. With the Trojans, Carroll led the team to back-to-back national championships but had to vacate the second one after an NCAA investigation ruled the school paid Reggie Bush.

After having success at college, he was hired by the Seattle Seahawks. Carroll was the coach of the Seahawks for 14 seasons and led the team to a Super Bowl victory in 2013.

Pete Carroll is 170-120-1 all-time as an NFL coach.
