Travis Kelce caused a stir among fans after the Kansas City Chiefs' X/Twitter account shared a video of the tight end talking about his expectations for a new playoff run. The Chiefs are trying to become the first team in NFL history to win three straight Super Bowls and the quest for another Vince Lombardi trophy starts on Saturday against the Houston Texans.

The three-time Super Bowl champion was reflective in the clip, talking about the meaning of playing in another playoff, saying he cherishes every moment of the quest for another championship.

"Playoff football is the most meaningful football that you'll ever play in your life. I cherish every single play man. I really do," Kelce said. "When you're in it, you're always trying to strive for greatness. Being greater than what you are. You know obviously there's a historic run and something that we can achieve that no other team has ever achieved. You know that fuels you."

These words resonated with fans, but some of them tried to crack the message behind it. Travis Kelce sparked speculation about a potential retirement and many fans thought this message was a signal.

"He's retiring - Book it," one fan wrote.
"this is it for Trav," another fan said.
"This is one of, or maybe, the last Kelce playoff we see. Gotta enjoy and appreciate every single thing he does on that field. Let's go," another fan wrote.

Others wished him and the Chiefs good luck against the Texans, but were aware that this looks more and more like the last dance for No. 87.

"Get that three-peat and ride off into the sunset.. enjoy retirement," another fan commented.

Former NFL QB makes strong prediction about Travis Kelce this playoff

Before Travis Kelce sent Chiefs Nation into a frenzy, the former quarterback turned analyst Dan Orlovsky shared his expectations for the 2024 playoff run. The former Detroit Lions playmaker believes Kelce can still make a difference for the Chiefs, as "he's got one great run left."

Having Travis Kelce going at least at 75% of his capacity can go a long way for the Kansas City Chiefs. They went 15-2 in the NFL regular season and the starters haven't played since Christmas Day. Everything looks set for Andy Reid and Co. to go all the way to another Super Bowl victory, but the competition will be fierce.

Besides the Ravens and Bills in the AFC, the Lions and Eagles in the NFC look like dangerous opponents on February 9, should the Chiefs make it.
