NFL fans picked sides as Tom Brady was critical of Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold. Brady was a commentator on the Vikings-Green Bay Packers game on Sunday.

During the game, Darnold threw a pass that was criticized by Brady. The former QB said Darnold made a good read but it was just an average throw, as it was a bit high.

Vikings fans weren't happy about.

"Haha! heard that too...he's a savage," a fan added.
"Brady is the worst announcer. I was hoping to get some Tony Romo like inside wisdom. Nope. Just disappointment," a fan wrote.
"Don't forget, QBs aren't good anymore because they didn't come up the same way he did," a fan wrote.

Some fans, however, agreed with Brady, saying it was a bad throw from Sam Darnold.

"I mean.....what is the problem with the statement... honestly probably should have said it was a below avg throw," a fan added.
"Dude threw a hospital ball over the middle, lucky the safety didn’t cut him in half lol," a fan added.

Fans continued to be torn on Brady's comments and whether or not the future Hall of Famer was fair to Darnold.

"ya, you know what i'm gonna do? Challenge Tom Brady's ability to assess the quality of a throw from a quarterback. After I'm done with that, I'm gonna critique what Michael Phelps has to say about some dude's swimming stroke," a fan added.
"Darnold played great the entire game but yes placement here could be better," a fan wrote.

Darnold ended up going 33-for-43 for 377 yards, three touchdowns and one interception, as the Vikings beat the Packers 27-25.

Vikings could franchise tag Sam Darnold

Sam Darnold signed a one-year, $10 million deal with the Minnesota Vikings to compete for the starting job.

After first-round rookie J.J. McCarthy got hurt, Darnold won the job and has become one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL. Darnold will be highly-sought after in free agency, but according to Albert Breer of SI, he believes the Vikings should franchise tag for the QB.

"You’ve got a good roster full of players that should have a win-now expectation (they’re 13–2 as it is). And so, to me, in service to those players, I think you have to think about the idea of franchise-tagging Darnold for 2025, even though the tag will exceed $40 million, and either give McCarthy another development year or open up a competition."

Sam Darnold has led the Vikings to a 14-2 record and will play for the No. 1 seed against the Detroit Lions on Sunday night.
