Since reaching the playoffs in 2021, Kyler Murray has arguably seen his reputation take a hit with fans for a number of reasons. Now, it appears his popularity has also taken a downturn in the locker room. According to PFF, offensive lineman Kelvin Beachum claimed the quarterback needed to "grow up."
In response, fans mostly took the opportunity to clown the quarterback. A couple of responses called on the team to cut the lineman for his comments, but most backed the lineman. Here's a look at what was said:

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray hopes for redemption after nightmare 2022 outing
Heading into 2022, the quarterback of the Arizona Cardinals was locked in a tense negotiation with the team over a reward for his accomplishments in previous seasons. Before 2022, the quarterback had the resume of someone who was improving every season and taking his team to steadily higher heights.
Will Kyler Murray enter the conversation for Comeback Player of the Year in 2023?
In 2019, he went 5-10-1 and threw for 20 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. In 2020, he won eight games and threw for 26 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. In 2021, the team reached the playoffs for the first time since the Carson Palmer era. As soon as the final snap was played, the quarterback jumped into contract negotiations.
It got ugly at points, with the quarterback scrubbing his social media of all references to the team. Eventually, the Cardinals caved in and handed the quarterback a massive deal running through 2028. However, it wasn't the end of the team bending the knee. There was a "homework clause" calling for the quarterback to take on a certain chunk of work beyond the gridiron.
Fans roasted the team over the situation and pundits called for a change to the clause. Once again, the team reneged and Murray won another big victory. However, since then, it has only been losing. In 2022, he threw for a career-low 14 touchdowns. He also went 3-8, winning the lowest number of games in his career.
As a cherry on top of hell, the quarterback suffered a season-ending injury late in the year. Shortly following the final snap, the team fired head coach Kliff Kingsbury and replaced him with rookie head coach Jonathan Gannon. It appears Gannon has a lot to dig into this off-season.
If linemen are calling out the quarterback publicly, one can only wonder what's being said behind closed doors.
