Charles Snowden seems to be having a tough time not just on the gridiron, but off the field as well. The Las Vegas Raiders defensive end was arrested for DUI earlier this week, although news of it only surfaced on Thursday.

As reported by TMZ, Snowden was slapped with a misdemeanor count on Tuesday. Police were tipped about a "suspicious vehicle" and apprehended him. Snowden was immediately arrested and booked. He was reportedly sent to a local jail on Tuesday morning but was also released.

Raiders fans, who were already dejected by the team's abysmal performance this season, were further disappointed when they heard the news and took to X to react to it.

Raiders release statement regarding Charles Snowden's arrest

The Raiders said in a statement on Thursday that they were aware of Snowden's DUI arrest but refrained from making any other comments about it as the matter is in court.

“The Raiders are aware of the incident involving Charles Snowden and have been in contact with the NFL and local authorities. The club will not comment further as this is a legal matter,” the Raiders' statement read, via The Athletic's Vic Tafur.

Las Vegas is 2-11 — the worst record in the AFC. The New York Giants have a similar record in the NFC, and one of them will likely finish at the bottom.

The Raiders will be back in action on Monday when they take on the Atlanta Falcons at Allegiant Stadium.
