In the 1980s, Herschel Walker made a name for himself as one of the NFL's most popular running backs. As he retired and moved on, Walker ran for (and lost) the US Senate in Georgia. But that doesn't take away Walker's countless seasons in the game and a few random claims he's made.
According to Michael Irvin, Walker thought he could take down Mike Tyson, easily one of the best heavyweight boxers of all time.

Irvin revealed that he first met Herschel Walker during the 1988 NFL Draft. The encounter, however, is something Irvin will never be able to forget. Apparently, a young Walker believed that he could easily beat Mike Tyson.

"One of the first things Herschel said to me was, ‘Mike, you know, I really think I could beat Mike Tyson.' This was when Mike Tyson was hitting you in the head, and your whole body just exploded. I said, ‘Dude, why you talking like this? What is this? Some death wish? What are you talking about?’ But he was dead serious".
"He looked at me and was like, ‘I’m telling you, Mike, I can beat him.’ He believes he can do [anything] and beat everybody at everything. He’s that kind of a competitor. He was that kind of athlete."
Herschel Walker was caught in countless relationship claims and controversies
A woman recently came forward and claimed that Walker forced her into getting an abortion. An anonymous woman came ahead to speak about Walker and how he refused to own up.
“I do love your daughter and I’m not out to hurt her. She has been a strong backbone for me through all of this,” the woman said through a letter.

She continued:
"He thinks that by not having the baby we do have a future chance for happiness that we can ‘grow strong again together.'”
Walker, on his end, has rejected all claims. The former NFL star refused to address these comments, saying they were baseless.
“I’m done with this foolishness. I’ve already told people this is a lie and I’m not going to entertain it."
During the campaign, people also shared a video of Walker insulting his son and then-wife. He referred to his son as an alien, insulting his looks right after he was born.
