What to watch for
Trevor Lawrence suffered a toe injury after the Week 14 game. He was questionable in the Week 15 game against the Cowboys. However, he participated in Sunday's game after limited participation in last week's practice session.
He threw for 318 yards with a pass completion percentage of 64.29 yards, four touchdown passes, and one interception. After the game, he again landed on the injury list for next week's game. His final playing status will only depend on his participation in the team's practice sessions.
Zach Wilson passed for 317 yards and two touchdowns but only managed to complete 51.4% of his passes, was sacked four times, and threw an interception to open the second half.
Since the New York Jets haven't officially named a starter yet, you'd have to assume they'll continue to start Wilson on a bye week and might bring starter Mike White back against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 17.
Last matchup
The New York Jets suffered their third consecutive loss on Sunday. The Detroit Lions defeated the Jets 20-17, placing them third in the AFC East with a 7-7 record. The Jets had a good start to the season but started losing games at the wrong time.
With their Week 16 loss, the chances of the Jets entering the playoffs have been reduced to 27% from 40%, according to the NYTimes. If they win the next three games against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Seattle Seahawks, and Miami Dolphins, they have a 98% chance of making it to the playoffs through a wild card.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are placed second in the AFC South with a losing record of 6-8. Since the Jaguars defeated the Cowboys 40-34 last week, they are one game behind the Tennessee Titans to tie the record with them.
Jacksonville can enter the playoffs if they defeat the Tennessee Titans in Week 18 and have a 2-1 record in the next three games.
