This season, Tom Brady's performances on the field and his life off it have been heavily scrutinized. Following their 18-20 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are 3-3 after Week 6.

As a result, the quarterback has cut an increasingly frustrated figure. He has smashed tablets and sweared at his offensive line follow their loss. Now, while it is the height of lunacy to ever count out the G.O.A.T. in anything football-related, Pat McAfee went there by pointing out the issues the quarterback has been facing this season since his 'unretirement.'

The conversation began with Ian Rapoport being questioned about Brady's health. The NFL Insider confirmed that there is nothing physically wrong with the quarterback, except a sore throwing shoulder that he needs to keep loose during games. But beyond that, he emphasized his belief that Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense will be back because of the talent there.

This caused Pat McAfee to weigh in and say,

"I don't believe Tom Brady is, you know, the same Tom Brady was a year ago or two years ago. Yeah. Did he make the worst now? Like I said, I'm not allowed to say it was the worst unretirement in the history of unretirement of all sports. It sounds like it seems like from outside looking in."

He brought up the problems off the field that Brady is facing and speculated that it is affecting his performance on the field as well. He continued,

"We don't know Tom. I do not know Tom. Outside looking in, hate that his entire personal life is being aired and grieved... It is seeming to affect what is going on the field...
"Everything seems to have gone to sh*t since him unretiring, and that's like a real conversation that's going to have to take place because he is the greatest of all time. He is Tom Brady. He could be doing everything else."

What are Tom Brady's problems that Pat McAfee is referring to?

Perhaps the biggest distraction this season for Brady has been his alleged decline in marital bliss with wife Gisele Bundchen. Reports suggest that she is unhappy with the quarterback's return to the NFL after retiring last year, especially as she believes she has put her successful modeling and advocacy career on hold to care for the family while he was playing.

Additionally, while he led the league last year in passing yards and touchdowns, this season he has dropped to 12th with just eight touchdowns after six games. It is an alarming drop and whether he can turn it around or not is something only Tom Brady can answer.
