Jerry Jones' weekly radio appearance on "105.3 The Fan" seems to bring out the most shocking confessions from the Dallas Cowboys owner. Whether it's about his team's roster or finances, fans are always shocked that what he has said is more outrageous than previous statements.

On Tuesday's appearance on the radio show, Jones may have said his most shocking comments yet. Carolina Panthers wide receiver Xavier Legette referred to eating raccoon after the loss to the Cowboys on Sunday. Jones was asked if he had ever indulged in such a thing, growing up in Arkansas, and he said yes. He then doubled down by referring to a squirrel.

"I've eaten a lot of raccoon. The answer is yes. ... It's not uncommon at all. One of my favorites is squirrel. It's wonderful. We all had our favorite pieces. ... My mom and I would even ask for the brain of the squirrel. Delicious. Seriously," Jones said.

The comments about eating a squirrel had fans across social media scratching their heads. One fan questioned how Jones ever found success in his career and became a billionaire with comments like this.

Others said that Jerry Jones should be more concerned about his team's inability to make the playoffs or win a Super Bowl in over two decades rather than squirrels. Some users on X joked that it made sense that he used to do this.

"Team is closing out the 29th year of falling well short of a NFC championship game and they talk about eating squirrels - but it ensures Jerry comes back next week," one fan said.
"Save the squirrels Jerry. You're already nuts," one person on X joked.

The comments continued as fans and social media users appeared to be more concerned about the state of the Cowboys than their owner.

"Every time I think Jerruh says the most unhinged thing he’s ever said he manages to top it in under a month," said one person who was shocked by the comments.
"further confirming my owner is a psycho," one person declared
"The number of raccoons eaten by Jerry Jones is higher than the number of free agents he signed this offseason when he said he was going all in," another jokingly said.

Jones gave Mike McCarthy and Mike Zimmer praise after Sunday's win

While he wasn't speaking about raccoons and squirrels, Jones did talk about his Dallas team, who is now 6-8 after winning three of their last four games. Jones spoke about coach Mike McCarthy and his ability to lead his team through adversity this season.

“I don’t know how you cannot say that his team has shown they’ll handle adversity & he can get you there with the injury situation impacting…availability,” Jones said.

Jones was then asked what type of grades he would give McCarthy and Mike Zimmer on their performance and leadership this season.

“So yeah, I give them both high grades this year," Jones said.

The injury situation that Jones referred to includes the loss of quarterback Dak Prescott, right guard Zack Martin, cornerback Trevon Diggs, edge rusher DeMarcus Lawrence, and cornerback DaRon Bland. The Cowboys were also without edge rusher Micah Parsons for four games as he dealt with a high ankle sprain.
