NFL fans are bracing for Wild Card Weekend, starting with the Los Angeles Chargers taking on the Houston Texans. One team that won't be suiting up this weekend, though, is the Cincinnati Bengals, who came agonizingly close to being the final seed in the AFC.
Joe Burrow and Co. took care of business by dispatching the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday, but once the Kansas City Chiefs rested most of their starters against the Denver Broncos, all bets were off.
The Broncos eventually shut out the Patrick Mahomes-less Chiefs in a 38-0 beatdown, confirming their place as the No. 7 seed in the conference, leaving the Bengals to rue a Week 1 defeat to the New England Patriots.
It appears that there's no love lost between two-time Super Bowl winning DT Khalen Saunders and the Bengals fanbase after being kicked out of playoff contention. Saunders, who signed with the New Orleans Saints on a three-year, $12.3 million deal last summer, shared his thoughts on the Bengals, replying to a Chiefs fan:

"Don't forget Burrowehad. That was my favorite one. I love watching the Bengals fail."
In 2023, Bengals slot corner Mike Hilton made a boastful claim, terming the Chiefs' home stadium as 'Burrowhead' after they had beat the Chiefs in Kansas City the year prior in the AFC Championship Game.
That moniker came to stick whenever the two teams faced off against each other, but Travis Kelce reclaimed that term when they beat the Bengals in January 2023.
"Burrowhead, my a*s. It's Mahomes' house!," Kelce proclaimed in a CBS interview.
Who will the Kansas City Chiefs face in the playoffs?
Since they wrapped up the No. 1 seed with weeks to spare, the Chiefs bought themselves an additional week's worth of rest to heal up. That means we won't see them this weekend when the rest of the AFC goes at it.
They will suit up in the Divisional Round next week where they will face one of four teams - the Pittsburgh Steelers, Los Angeles Chargers, Houston Texans or the Denver Broncos. If the Broncos beat the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, they will travel to Arrowhead to take on the Chiefs regardless of other results, as they will be the lowest-remaining seed in the AFC.
