The Pittsburgh Steelers shocked the world when they landed NFL veteran Aaron Rodgers in the offseason. While many were excited to see Rodgers in Pittsburgh, some did question how he would build chemistry with other stars. One of the top names fans thought would lock heads with A-Rod was wide receiver DK Metcalf.

Metcalf was traded to the Steelers from the Seattle Seahawks in the offseason. He inked a five-year contract deal worth $150 million after the move.

The four-time NFL MVP did an interview with CBS Sports following the Steelers' training camp on Wednesday. During the conversation, Rodgers opened up about how he is building chemistry with Metcalf. He said he likes seeing others' inputs and likes to see the game through their eyes.

"I’m not a dictator out there," Rodgers said. "I like input. I like seeing the game through your eyes. That’s something I told him from day one. I love watching a clip and hearing his thought process on a play."

He added that while they're building chemistry on the field, that connection is also crucial off it.

"Our chemistry on the field is coming together," Rodgers added. "Off the field, that connection might be just as important, maybe even more. When you truly trust someone and build that bond, there’s a different level of accountability. You don’t want to let your brother down. And that kind of trust comes from spending time together like we are now, here in the Tro." [From 03:54 to 04:27]

Aaron Rodgers opens up about his other wide receiver

Receiver Roman Wilson got a rub from his new QB, Aaron Rodgers. The veteran gave Wilson a confidence boost by stating that he should get out of his own head and trust himself. Rodgers said:

"I need to get Roman (Wilson) out of his own head a bit. He cares so much about whether it’s my approval or he’s doing it right. He’s just got to trust himself because he’s so damn talented."

Wilson is entering his second year as a Steelers receiver. The 24-year-old, unfortunately, spent most of his rookie year on the injured list. The fans have big expectations from him this year, especially since he is one of the targets for Aaron Rodgers.
