"I didn't think I could get pregnant": Cam Newton's girlfriend Jasmin Brown opens up about untold pregnancy story

Earlier this year, Cam Newton's girlfriend, Jasmin Brown, welcomed her first child with the former NFL quarterback. However, it was in October last year that she revealed having a baby with Newton. On Monday, the standup comedian celebrated the day when she got to know about her pregnancy.

Jasmin Brown shared an Instagram reel recapping her best moments from last year, featuring her untold pregnancy story. The actress shed light on how she didn't know about her pregnancy in the initial months and took the signs casually. However, things changed when her wait for periods crossed a limit of suspicion.

"Period never came. And I'm like, 'OK, well, I'm just gonna give it another day.' I just kept on pushing, and I was like, 'Maybe I should take a test.' And everyone's like 'No, don't take a test, because if you are, it's gonna throw off your whole equilibrium.' And I was like, 'You know what? You're right,'" Brown said.

One more reason why she didn't take the pregnancy test right away was because she needed time to be in the right mind. But when things aligned, Brown took the test and instantly knew what type of mom she would want to become to her kid.

"I told myself, I was like, 'You know what? I'm just gonna be a bonus mom, and I'm just gonna love the f*ck out of these kids and be a positive role model in their lives.' And that's just gonna be my story. And I was OK with that."

Going forward in the reel, Jasmin Brown also expressed how she assumed herself to be incapable of conceiving a baby. However, all the assumptions went south when the test came positive. Concluding her pregnancy story, the "Caught Up" actress said:

"Such an amazing weekend we celebrated afterwards. Everything was lit, and the next thing you know, y'all pregnant as hell. I cried my eyes out. I was so happy. And the whole journey of pregnancy was so wild because I got to see her and feel her inside of me. And next thing, she was here, y'all. She's perfect."

Jasmin Brown on "extremely serious" mentality for mother's role

Months before giving birth to her first child, Jasmin Brown talked about her seriousness toward motherhood. In an Instagram story posted in January, Brown shared her excitement for motherhood while revealing her mentality for the same.

"I am SO EXCITED to be a mom and learn so much about myself along the way. I been that girl for a long time… now I get to be somebody’s cool a** hustling a** getting money having a**, loving supportive, bomb a** mom???? What an honor. I take this role EXTREMELY serious. It’s Family over everything,” Brown said.

Even though Cam Newton has five more children, Jasmin Brown revealed in an Instagram post how the former NFL star puts pressure on her for his sixth child.
