Jon Gruden was fired from the Las Vegas Raiders for sending emails that allegedly contained misogynistic, racist and homophobic slurs. However, he's done well for himself since then with his media appearances and his YouTube channel.

The NFL world was rife with speculation that he would be returning to the NFL as head coach, with some even saying as of the Raiders. However, he has found a new gig that should keep him busy.

On Tuesday, Adam Schefter shared on X (formerly, Twitter) that the former Buccanneers and Raiders coach had joined the media company Barstool Sports.

NFL fans were stunned to learn this because most expected him to return as an NFL coach. However, many were also surprised that he would want to make himself more prominent after he faced severe backlash for his emails. They reacted to the news on X.

Another fan said that it was interesting that Barstool Sports would give a platform to a man who's allegedly a racist.

Other fans also chimed in with their reactions to Jon Gruden's new media gig. Some were surprised at the announcement, while some congratulated Barstool Sports for pulling this off.

"Low key thought Jerry was going after him this offseason lol," one fan tweeted.
"There couldn’t be a better match. This is great news," another fan tweeted.
"Finally, someone to coach that company into a good company," one fan tweeted.
"The deal of the century!" Another fan tweeted.

Jon Gruden to the New York Jets?

With the Jets firing their head coach Robert Saleh and interim HS Jeff Ulbrich struggling to turn around the team's fortunes, Jon Gruden has become a frontrunner for the Jets HC role.

"I've been hearing Jon Gruden is a serious candidate to coach the Jets, maybe be President of football operations. He has close ties with the Jets, he's got close ties with Woody," Frankie V of the New York Post said.

Boomer Esiason echoed the same thoughts and said it was highly likely Gruden would join the Jets as their new head coach. He said Gruden brought the kind of personality, legitimacy and credibility that the Jets searched for in a head coach.

But with Gruden's new job, will he truly return to the NFL?
