Odell Beckham Jr. is close to making a comeback

Odell Beckham Jr. is nearing the end of a roughly 10-month recovery from tearing his ACL in the Super Bowl. Like many shoppers on Black Friday, teams are lining up for the receiver.

Speaking on The Rich Eisen Show, NFL insider Ian Rapoport pressured the Cowboys to leave no stone unturned when the receiver meets the team later this month. Here's how he put it:

"He's not spending his Black Friday in Dallas. I would assume he's shopping. He's going to be there after Thanksgiving. I know the Giants are definitely interested. Sounds like there's plans for a visit there as well. I think there's a real possibility that Odell and Dallas go, 'You know what? This just makes a lot of sense.'"

He continued, exclaiming that the receiver is also in better health than he was a year ago:

"I think for him, the opportunity to go to one of the NFL's best brands and one of the best teams and his ACL is definitely more healthy than it was at this time last year. I know he was healthy last year, but like his first surgery did not go great. The second surgery went a lot better. So he is in a really good place right now. This makes a lot of sense."

Odell Beckham Jr. entered 2021 with expectations of getting a lot of targets en route to a deep playoff run. By the end of the year, he ended up getting his way, but it took an unorthodox move.

Midway through the season, the receiver was frustrated with a lack of production in the team's Baker Mayfield-led offense.

The grass seemed greener for Beckham elsewhere and so he asked the team to cut ties with him after the trade deadline. The team obliged and the receiver high-tailed it to Los Angeles, where he landed with the Rams. The Rams were the favorites of many to reach the Super Bowl.

On Beckham's watch, they did. However, in the big game, the receiver's input was limited, as he suffered a torn ACL.

The injury cut his season short by several quarters. The team went on to win the big game and after hoisting the Lombardi himself, the receiver was put in the free agent market. Unlike most free agents in November, the receiver has a choice to make.
