Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt's daughter Ava went to Southern Methodist University last week. The influencer started her cheerleading career with the university, with the Chiefs heiress’ first and most recent performance on Sunday.

Since it was Ava's first performance as a cheerleader, her parents were there to hype her up. Later, Ava's mother, Tavia Hunt, shared behind-the-scenes images from her visit to SMU, along with an emotional note for the cheerleader.

"A Labor of love! Special weekend cheering on our favorite SMU Ponies! So happy college sports are back, and the NFL season is days away!" Tavia captioned her post.

"Today, I left a piece of my heart at SMU. Ava Hunt, you’ve always been a mix of sunshine and hurricane - fierce, fearless, and capable of incredible things. I’m overflowing with excitement for you, even as I tuck away my tears for later."
"You’ve worked so hard to get here. Everything that you do from here on out is for you—for your success, happiness, and God’s glory. Acts 20:24 Stay safe. Get sleep. Have faith in yourself. And remember, Mom and Dad are ALWAYS here when you need us. I love you MORE," Tavia concluded.

After exchanging goodbyes with Ava, Tavia attended the Chiefs Kickoff Luncheon with her husband Clark on Saturday. Later, she got emotional while recalling her experience at the event.
