Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson recently splurged on a Hunting Valley mansion worth $5.395 million. While his time in the NFL has been controversial, the quarterback is making sure to enjoy a lavish lifestyle.
With a contract worth $230 million, a $5 million house is simply an investment for the 27-year-old.
More often than not, athletes indulge in an elaborate house fairly early on in their careers. For Watson, this could be a way to commit to the Browns and regardless of what anyone says, he seems ready to stay in Cleveland.

The house itself is a 17,000-square-foot property, complete with multiple rooms and luxurious amenities. It's a complete home with five bedrooms and eight baths, along with a carriage house. It also boasts of a fitness centre, theatre, tennis court, fishing pond, and pool.
Reports add that Watson purchased it on October 31. He signed on a mortgage document with the Cuyahoga County Fiscal Office.
Previously, Roadrunner Properties Ohio LLC was in charge of the property. Records of the same were shared publicly in November. Furthermore, the house has been on sale for quite some time.
"I'm sure he'll be very happy in that house," said auctioneer Michael Berland. "And I'm sure he'll have some amazing parties. It's just a tremendous house to entertain in. I think it's perfect for him, absolutely perfect."
Berland also helped market the house in 2017.
Deshaun Watson house: How did the QB afford this lavish property?
As mentioned above, Deshaun Watson signed a contract with the Browns earlier this year.
Legal trouble has followed him and Watson was levied an 11-game suspension along with a $5 million fine and obliged to undergo counselling before he returns. Though he is to earn $230,000,000 over the course of five years, Watson's yearly earnings will be around $46,000,000.
Previously, Watson signed a four-year extension with the Houston Texans, worth $156 million. Before his $230 million deal, this was Watson's most expensive contract.
Deshaun Watson return: When will the Browns QB return?
As of now, Watson has sat out of nine of the required 11 games that he is suspended from. If all goes as per schedule, Watson should be back in two weeks.
The young QB can play in Week 13 against his former team, the Texans. He last played during the 2020 season in Week 17, for Houston. Considering the team's bye week (Week 9), Deshaun Watson will be out for 12 weeks before his return.
The Browns fans would be hoping that he can turn the season around for the team.
