As Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey get closer to their wedding day, they are still checking things off their pre-wedding list. This weekend, the former Miss Universe celebrated her upcoming nuptials with a bridal shower in Malibu, California.

Culpo shared photos of the day on her Instagram story, which showed an ocean-view deck covered in flowers. The long, wooden table was covered by white umbrellas and gave all of her guests views of the water. Culpo even had a surprise visit from her fiancé, Christan McCaffrey.

Olivia Culpo also shared photos of herself and her sisters, Sophia and Aurora, as well as Christian McCaffrey's mother, Lisa. Culpo referred to the day as her "dream bridal shower" and even captioned another photo of herself and McCaffrey with "husband".

Culpo chose a white, strapless dress that had cuffed, puffed sleeves. She brought her Instagram followers along as she got ready for her bridal shower in a video she posted on Saturday.

"Bridal shower GRWM."

She chose the long, flowy white dress instead of other shorter, flower-printed dresses.

Olivia Culpo reveals one detail of upcoming wedding day

Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey are expected to tie the knot this upcoming offseason. While they haven't revealed the date, Culpo has hinted that the ceremony will take place in her home state of Rhode Island. After documenting her wedding planning on social media, she recently told People Magazine one aspect of the wedding day that the couple has decided upon.

Instead of a first look with the San Francisco 49ers running back, they will instead opt for a more traditional ceremony. The bride and groom will see each other for the first time as she walks down the aisle.

"I know for sure we're not going to do a first look, so he won’t see me until I'm walking down the aisle, I think that that's a little less common these days," Culpo told People Magazine.

Christian McCaffrey has left the majority of the wedding planning up to his fiancée. While Culpo has said that he does give his opinion, he is content with anything that makes her dream day a reality.
