Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs will enjoy their first-round bye as the playoffs kick off this week. The Kansas City area received feet of snow this past weekend, which prevented the Chiefs from departing for Denver on time. It also prevented the Chiefs from returning home on time.
While the three-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback was preparing to watch the game from the sidelines, his wife, Brittany Mahomes, was at home having a fun snow day with their children.
Brittany shared photos of her daughter Sterling, who was wearing a red Adidas snow suit and playing in the snow in their yard.

The Mahomes family didn't let the snow go to waste, either. She shared that she used the snow to make her children Sterling and Bronze 'real' snow cones. Brittany also added some food dye to make it a true snow cone experience for her children.

Patrick Mahomes and other key starters for the Kansas City Chiefs didn't start Sunday's season finale against the Denver Broncos. After locking up the No. 1 seed, the Chiefs are one step closer to winning their third consecutive Super Bowl title, something no other team has ever done.
Patrick Mahomes hinted that he and wife Brittany could welcome their baby on bye week
Patrick Mahomes led the Kansas City Chiefs to a win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day. Despite dealing with a high ankle sprain, Mahomes and the Chiefs clinched the No. 1 overall seed in the AFC with the win and a bye week.
Ahead of the game, Mahomes sat down with Kay Adams in an interview on Netflix. She mentioned that Patrick and Brittany Mahomes are welcoming their third child, a daughter, in the near future. She asked how soon their baby's arrival would be.
"Brittany says I've been stressing her out too much this season so I got to try not put so much stress on her through these football games and get the bye," Mahomes said. "And hopefully God works the right way and we can have that baby maybe on the bye week somewhere and then everything will work out perfectly."
The Chiefs quarterback insinuated that his motivation to clinch the No. 1 seed was for the upcoming birth of his child.
