IN PHOTOS: Vikings TE T.J. Hockenson ties the knot with Mikala Brown in scenic Hawaii ceremony

Wedding bells have apparently rung for Minnesota Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson as he tied the knot with his fiancée, Mikala Brown. Hockenson broke the news by resharing the Instagram story of his wedding photographer, Miles Leavitt, on his account.

The Instagram story contained a behind-the-scenes clip from Hockenson and Brown's apparent wedding shoot, with a scenic view of mountains in the background. According to Miles' post, the wedding took place at a beautiful ceremony in Hawaii.

"Hawaii weddingggg. It rained the whole day and was the best thing ever," Miles wrote in the caption.

The clip was followed by pictures from the NFL couple's big day, including a photograph of an aisle surrounded by white chairs in the front. In the background of the aisle was an eye-pleasing view of the mountain, with a pack of sheep roaming freely.

T.J. Hockenson married Mikala Brown one year after proposing at the most unique moment and place. It was Brown who broke the engagement news through an Instagram post featuring pictures from her mother's farm.

Even though neither Mikala Brown nor T.J. Hockenson shared details about when their relationship began, it was in June 2021 that Brown made her relationship with the Vikings tight end Instagram official. Two years later, the couple got engaged and shared the news through their Instagram profiles.

"Here’s to you and me…" Mikala Brown wrote in the caption.

"Knew you were out of my league from the start… Here’s to forever," Hockenson said in his Instagram post.

T.J. Hockenson and Mikala Brown were on a short visit to her mother's farm in Nashville for horse riding when the tight end decided to finally propose to her. During the 2023 Pro Bowl games, Hockenson shared details of his proposal through Vikings.com, describing what went behind the scenes.

"She loves horses, and she loves being out in the country," Hockenson said. "It was pretty easy for me to be like, ‘Hey, let’s go on a horseback ride when we get home.’ Being able to surprise her in that way was awesome. I don’t really get to hold very many surprises because I’ve got a big mouth and am always too excited to share them."

"It was cool to be able to keep that one in the back pocket and have that moment with her horses; one of them in the photos was hers since she was 8,” he continued. “It was a super cool feeling," the tight end concluded.

Mikala Brown has always been a huge supporter of T.J. Hockenson's NFL career, considering she has an athletic background herself. Brown finished high school at Livingston Academy, where she also played basketball from 2013 to 2017.

Later, she went to Tennessee Technological University to gain a degree in marketing. Currently, she is working as a full-time photographer, a passion she attained in 2018.
