Three outstanding quarterback talents, prospective classic defensive players and game-changing offensive stars are just a few of the most talented players in the 2023 NFL draft class.
The tight end position is, at least in comparison to average values, the position category with the most strength in this draft. Three tight ends, Dalton Kincaid of Utah, Michael Mayer of Notre Dame, and Darnell Washington of Georgia, are contenders to go in the first round.
Three additional tight ends, Iowa's Sam LaPorta, South Dakota State's Tucker Kraft and Oregon State's Luke Musgrave are almost certain selections in the first three rounds of the draft.
There is a tight end in this group that fits whatever profile you're shopping for. Kincaid is your lightweight catcher, Washington is a regular in-line bulldog blocker, and Mayer is almost a total package player.

Furthermore, based on certain clubs' needs, we might not see a cornerback chosen in the top five or even in the top ten. Nonetheless, the depth of quality at the position is extraordinary. The first round could also include Devon Witherspoon, Christian Gonzalez, Cam Smith, Kelee Ringo, Joey Porter, DJ Turner, Clark Phillips III and Deonte Banks.
Meanwhile, the number of wide receivers who went off the board early in the last three rounds shattered all previous records. This year could be different from last year, when six wide receivers were taken in the first 18 choices, as we are basically only looking at a group with four or five top-50 talents at the position.
The inside offensive line is another position category that appears considerably more gloomy than it did last year. There were three potential consensus first-round picks in the 2022 NFL draft: Tyler Linderbaum, Kenyon Green and Zion Johnson. O'Cyrus Torrence is probably the only potential first-round prospect this year.
