NY Jets ESPN reporter Rich Cimini said he expects Lazard to have a prominent role this season on the opposite side of Garrett Wilson.

After Aaron Rodgers went down in the Jets' season opener against the Buffalo Bills last year, the team struggled and finished the campaign with a 7-10 record.

As a free agent in the 2023 offseason, Lazard signed a four-year $44 million deal with the Jets, joining Rodgers.

In his first season with the Jets, Lazard caught 23 passes for 311 yards and a touchdown in 14 games. Aside from his rookie season where he was active for just one game, last season was the least productive campaign in Lazard's six-year NFL career.

Joe Buck will provide play-by-play analysis and Troy Aikman will be alongside him as an analyst. The 49ers enter tonight's game as -4.5-point favorites and are -210 on the moneyline.

All eyes will be on Aaron Rodgers, who missed almost the entire 2023 season after tearing his Achilles in the Jets' season opener. Coach Robert Saleh could be on the hot seat this season if the Jets underperform with Rodgers at quarterback.

As for the 49ers, they will look to make it back to the Super Bowl after becoming NFC champions last season. They lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl. Running back Christian McCaffrey remains questionable for Monday night's game but is expected to play.
