The Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs have both gotten off to a great start in Super Bowl 2023. However there could be cause for concern for Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith.
With just four minutes remaining in the second quarter and the Eagles rolling, Smith caught a pass and made a beeline for the endzone. However, he was stopped short, but in the process looks to have got his leg caught underneath him.

What is also a big concern is that the receiver has been a big part of the Eagles' offense in the first half, catching five passes for 50 yards already.
The receiver limped off the field and is now being evaluated further.
If he doesn't return, then it could have big implications on the game as the Eagles offense is rolling right now with Smith being the focal point of most of Jalen Hurts' passes.
What happened to DeVonta Smith?
The second year receiver is currently being evaluated after it looked like his ankle got caught underneath him in a tackle.
Luckily for the Eagles, Smith returned to the game rather quickly. With halftime so close, it is likely that the receiver will get more medical attention at halftime and be thoroughly looked at.
With so much of the Eagle's offense running through the second-year star, him being on the field against a Chiefs defense that so far has proved it can't stop the passing game could be a big story.
For now, however, he is back on the field and we hope it stays that way.
Smith has had a superb second season with the Eagles. He surpassed 1,000 receiving yards, had seven touchdowns while also catching 95 passes.
Part of a deadly duo with A.J. Brown, Smith has been nearly unstoppable at times as both have the ability to tear defenses apart, which is exactly what we are seeing in the Super Bowl.
Even if the second-year receiver can't go on, the Eagles still have more than enough firepower to put up points.
