Backup quarterback Gardner Minshew will make his second-straight start of the 2022-2023 NFL season. He played in Hurts' absence last week vs. the Dallas Cowboys and performed very well. The backup quarterback completed 26 out of 44 pass attempts for 389 yards while throwing a pair of touchdowns and interceptions as the Eagles lost 40-34.
Minshew appeared in four games last season while starting in two, going 1-1. He completed 68.3 percent of passes for 439 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception.
Today's outing against the Saints is another opportunity for the backup to showcase his skills to potentially get a starting job elsewhere in the NFL next season.
