"Is it too late to trade him to the Steelers?": Niners fans irritated with Brandon Aiyuk's tantrum

The San Francisco 49ers fanbase wasn't expecting any more drama before the team's Week 4 game. However, wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk went viral on Twitter after his supposed tantrum during the 49ers practice.

In the video shared, Aiyuk apparently wore the wrong shorts to practice. Head coach Kyle Shanahan was seen speaking with Aiyuk and the latter then kicked off his shorts.

Fans weren't happy with the clip, upset at Aiyuk's behavior at practice.

"Is it too late to trade him to the Steelers?" one fan said.

"Trade him!!! He's a #2 being paid as a #1 His attitude will hurt the team!!" another user suggested.

Some fans pointed out that Aiyuk was wrong, as the players obviously needed to wear black-colored shorts.

"Pretty obvious he was supposed to have black shorts on," one fan wrote.

Though fans wanted him traded to the Steelers, Pittsburgh fans were not happy about the discussion.

"I’m glad my Steelers didn’t get him. Aiyuk played y’all niners 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣," one user wrote.

Some even blamed the team for paying him. This was in reference to Aiyuk's four-year, $120 million extension.

"Shouldn’t have paid him… 🤷🏾‍♂️,' a fan said.

"Dudes miserable, says he wanted to stay but shows nothing but the opposite, seems like a mood/vibe killer, always has..." another fan added.

"This ain’t it BA, straight up diva behavior," one user said.

"Imagine that...Brandon Aiyuk is color-blind. He only sees green now🤑," one user joked.

Brandon Aiyuk speaks about his shorts incident after 49ers practice

Following the practice, Shanahan spoke to the media. When asked about Brandon Aiyuk's red shorts, he confirmed that the WR had worn the wrong color.

"Yeah, he did," Shanahan said.

Aiyuk, however, added that he would just like to wear something else:

"I wish I could wear different shorts," Aiyuk said after the practice.

With Christian McCaffrey injured and Deebo Samuel questionable, the 49ers will be struggling during their Week 4 game against the New England Patriots. Aiyuk, of course, should be active for the game.
