Even at 49 years old, Terrell Owens remains an important topic in NFL circles. And rumors are starting to cycle that, even at an advanced age, he's staging an NFL comeback.
His agent, Gregory Daniel, has contacted several NFL teams trying to land a workout. The veteran receiver has set his sights on Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys, trying to join the team ahead of a Super Bowl run.
Daniel has commented on the possibility of Owens joining the Cowboys:
"We've been in constant communication with Jerry Jones' office over the last few days about the possibility of him returning to the Cowboys. Terrell is ready to contribute and play any role, big or small. He's in outstanding shape. He looks no different than he did years ago. I watched him running routes full-speed with DeSean, and he looked great. He didn't drop a pass."

At 49, the superstar receiver would become the oldest player in NFL history, a title that currently belongs to George Blanda, a former quarterback turned placekicker who retired when he was 48.

How good was Terrell Owens?
Owens was one of the best NFL receivers of his time, with five First-Team All-Pro indications and six Pro Bowl nominations during his 15 seasons in the league.
The NFL touchdown leader in 2001, 2002 and 2006, he played for the San Francisco 49ers, the Philadelphia Eagles, the Dallas Cowboys, the Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals over the course of his career.
Owens wasn't voted for the Pro Football Hall of Fame during his first two years of eligibility, which prompted controversy as to whether he was snubbed by voters because of his off-field antics and not because of his talent. After he was elected during his third opportunity, he decided not to attend the ceremony in Canton. Instead, he held a celebration at his alma mater, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Owens did not win a Super Bowl during his playing career, but he played in the game for the Philadelphia Eagles during the 2004 season. He did so less than two months after suffering a broken leg and finished the game with nine receptions and 122 yards. The Eagles fell short in their efforts to beat the New England Patriots and lost 24-21.
