Ahead of Thursday night's showdown vs. division rival the New England Patriots, Von Miller will not be present on the field for the Buffalo Bills.
During the Bills-Lions game on Thanksgiving last week, Miller suffered a knee injury to his lateral meniscus and will be out for some time.
The initial fear was that Miller tore his ACL, but after a round of tests, Miller revealed that he only suffered lateral meniscus damage, saying that he could play through it.

Following the injury, he explained the severity of the injury saying it was not the worst news.
Miller said on his podcast:
“You know, the news is not the best of news. But it’s definitely not the worst of news. It’s kind of like in the middle. I didn’t tear my ACL. That was the huge part of it. But I do have some lateral meniscus damaged, and it’s going to have to be addressed. But I do feel like I can play through that."
It appears Miller is targeting his return next Sunday, December 10, vs. the New York Jets.
There's a chance he could play, and there's a chance he will have to sit out another game. Either way, we will find out as we get closer to the date.
On the season, Miller has recorded 21 tackles, eight sacks, one forced fumble, and two pass deflections. He has been everything the Bills had hoped for and they will certainly miss his presence in tonight's game.
Buffalo Bills still in with a chance to get back into first place in AFC East vs New England Patriots
Following their matchup tonight vs. the New England Patriots, the Buffalo Bills have the chance to sneak back into first place in the tightly contested AFC East.
The Miami Dolphins and Bills are 8-3 each, but the Dolphins own the tiebreaker as they defeated the Bills earlier this season.
With a win tonight over the Patriots, the Bills would be a half a game in first. However, if Miami picks up a victory over the San Franciso 49ers this Sunday, they will be back in first place.
By the end of the week, Buffalo could be back in first place, or if they lose tonight, then Miami could go back up by a game in the lead for the division.
